BREW NEWS - As the team at RivalryBrews.com close out holiday sales, it’s a time to reflect on another season of success. It’s also time to take a “sneak peak” at the year ahead – much new coming for 2022.
New Home For Rivalry Brews
RB.COM – Entering its third season of service, the team at Rivalry Brews is proud to announce they are moving their operations center to a new home. The company will occupy an expanded office center, warehouse, and storage facility at the start of 2022.
Through the continued visibility of the online platform, RB.com has outgrown its current facility and is moving into a center which will accommodate the company’s new directives.
“For starters, we will have expanded cooler space to allow us to offer a bigger beer selection,” said Adam Esker, co-founder and operations manager at RB.com. Currently, the online firm represents nearly 30 brands and breweries from throughout the state of Ohio and direct ships product to 41 states.
Strategically, the center is located nearby interstates I-71 and I-271 for inflow of craft beer from its membership of select breweries.
“We’ve got more breweries coming to the lineup,” he said. “We’re expanding and adding more and more.”
RB.com is slated to added two new features in 2022:
- Local RB.com Delivery (within the service area of the new facility)
- Direct Order / Pick-up Service
“Our pick-up service is going to be available. Order online and walk in and pick up your beer,” Esker added.

Unplugged Brewing Company
ELYRIA – “We didn’t know what to call ourselves,” said Carlos Lopez, co-founder and owner of Unplugged Brewing Company – Rivalry Brews newest addition to our list of Top Cleveland Craft Breweries.
Lopez and partners Jose Candelario and Tim O’Neill all had a passion for home brewing. All three gentlemen worked professionally as IT Consultants in the Elyria / Lorain area.
In their early days, they enjoyed just “hanging out” and giving away samples of their latest custom craft brew. It was initially a time for the group to “unplug.” As their passion for brewing grew, so did their supply. “We had so much beer we didn’t know what to do with it,” Lopez said.
In September 2018, the group bought a building, put together a business plan, and later opened their new brewery taking a beer hobby to a new level. Today, the location features an accompanying taproom and a calendar of events including food trucks, trivia nights, karaoke Thursdays, and more.
Head Brewer O’Neill and team have reportedly made over 50 different craft beers since their opening. A few featured on RivalryBrews.com now available include Snowbird Orange Wheat Ale and Plug 45 Craft Malt Liquor. Yet, their sports branded brews have captured some of the most attention recently.
Unplugged’s Muni Lot Munich Lager serves as a tribute to professional football fans in Northeast Ohio. And Buckeyes Peanut Butter Porter has become a favorite among the scarlet and grey crowd.
The brewery has also become infamous for its unique can artwork adding a story regarding the custom craft brew on the side of each 16 ounce can.
